Last week, at Orience we had the pleasure of organizing an exclusive event in Madrid to officially present our new corporate immigration unit in Spain. A space designed to reflect, share ideas, and strengthen networks around a key theme for today’s economic development: the attraction of foreign talent and capital.

The event took place at the innovative space The Bridge | Digital Talent Accelerator and brought together professionals from both the public and private sectors in a roundtable moderated by Javier Molina Jordà, economic journalist at El Confidencial.

A high-level discussion

Under the title “From investment to integration: how Madrid is leading the attraction of foreign talent”, we were joined by:

  • Diego De Arístegui Laborde, Investor Director at Invest in Madrid
  • Clemens Auersperg, Partner at McKinsey & Company
  • Alejandra Agruña, Associate Director of Talent & Careers at IE University
  • Pedro Acuña Alonso, Business Development Manager at Orience

During the session, it became clear that Madrid is consolidating itself as a key engine of investment and international talent attraction in Spain, thanks to its economic dynamism, quality of life, and openness to global talent.

Clemens Auersperg opened the session stating:

“Spain is a very interesting country for investing in Europe. It combines natural resources, infrastructure, and top-level professional talent, creating a fantastic ecosystem for investment.”

Diego De Arístegui shared compelling data:

“Spain has been the 4th country in the world for Greenfield investment, behind only the U.S., China, and the UK.”

Pedro Acuña highlighted the value of exploring new paths beyond traditional programs:

“Beyond the well-known Golden Visa, there are new ways of attracting talent and investment that we are already developing at Orience.”

From the academic perspective, Alejandra Agruña pointed out:

“The executives of the future are trained from their first university courses, with hands-on education and an international vocation from day one.”

Networking and community

After the discussion, attendees enjoyed an outdoor cocktail in the garden of the hub, creating the perfect atmosphere for networking and building new synergies between companies, institutions, and professionals.

Thank you for making it possible

From Orience we would like to especially thank:

  • Andrea Ochoa, Head of Corporate Immigration, for leading this new strategic unit
  • Pedro Acuña, Business Development Manager, for driving this event
  • And the bambú PR team, for their impeccable production work

This gathering marks the beginning of a new chapter for Orience in Spain, as we continue to support companies in their international mobility and strategic talent acquisition processes.

Conclusion

Madrid is solidifying its position as one of the leading European hubs for investment and international talent attraction. The combination of its dynamic business environment, excellent educational ecosystem, and strategic position within Europe makes it a key city for companies looking to grow, innovate, and attract top global professionals.
