The Digital Nomad Visa is a new program launched by the Spanish government to attract remote workers and freelancers to the country. The program offers a one-year visa that allows non-European Union citizens to live and work in Spain while working remotely for companies or clients based outside of Spain.

To be eligible for the visa, you must prove that you are a freelancer or remote worker with a steady income, have health insurance, and can provide evidence of accommodation in Spain for the duration of your stay.

The Digital Nomad Visa offers many benefits, including the ability to work and live in one of the world’s most beautiful and culturally rich countries, with access to high-speed internet, excellent food, and an incredible quality of life.

Benefits

  • The candidate is also eligible for permanent residency after 5 years, with the option to include his/her family (spouse and children).
  • Fast-tracking application: Resolution in 20 working days
  • Visa-free travel in the Schengen area.
  • Renewal after 3 years (for an additional 2 years).
  • For Iberoamerican countries and former Spanish colonies, this residence permit counts for applying after the second year for the Spanish citizenship/passport.
